An Evening with Patricia Cutright
Please join us on Monday, November 6, at 6 p.m. in the Allen Reading Room at Penrose Library for an evening with Patricia Cutright.
Patricia Cutright is Lakota and an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. She will be reading from her book “Native Women Changing Their Worlds,” which follows the true stories of 12 Native Women who are changemakers and advocates in their communities. Her awards include the 2003 American Library Association/LITA Gaylord Award for Achievement in Library and Information Technology, 2002 Oregon Librarian of the Year, 2017 University of Washington iSchool Distinguished Alumnus Award, 2016 Presidential Administrator Award from Central Washington University, and the 2002 Distinguished Administrative Faculty award from Eastern Oregon University.
Whitman student Lindsay Pasena-Littlesky ‘26 will be featured, discussing the local and national work she has done on dam removal and salmon habitat restoration.
